Toddler

I was out of home for several days due to the business trip. When I opened the door of my house, my cute baby dashed toward me with smiling. My lovely daughter walks much more than I saw before the trip. Before the trip, she sometimes walked. But now she seldom crawls. She always walks. That is, she has become a perfect toddler.

My wife says that my daughter is a toddler, and papa is a 'Todo'. ('Todo' means sea lion in English.)

Michael Jackson

Everyone was very surprised at the news that Michael Jackson died suddenly. I was told the news by my wife during my business trip.

I watched some movies of him on youtube. I remembered the day everyone including me watched MTV every week. Maybe it was the late 1980s.
I also remembered I went to his concert in 1990s. I think the concert was hold at Tokyo Doom.

Pottery Class 36th

I painted some pictures on the two bowl I made before. I painted apples on the one bowl, and cherries on the other bowl.

I also made a cup. This might be bigger than I expected.

Making C62 65th-70th

These wheels are located below the cab of a locomotive.

Pottery Class 35th

I shaved the bottom of the two bowls which I made at the last class. This work is called as 'Koudai-Kezuri' (高台削り). These bowls will be used by my cute daughter.

At the next time, I will paint some fruits on them.

I found some cracks at the edge of bowls. I repaired them, but I'm getting anxious about them.

High Fever

From the last Friday, our cute daughter had a high fever. Her temperature became over 40 Celsius at a peak. This time her condition seemed to be worse than before. She sometimes cried with dropping tears from her eyes due to the high temperature.

Today she got better than yesterday. And she has grown up so that she could dance a song of "Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes" very well.

Tokyo Disneyland

My wife and I went to Tokyo Disneyland with our lovely daughter. It was the first time for our cute baby to visit Tokyo Disneyland.

We woke up early in the morning, and drove to Urayasu, where Tokyo Disneyland is located.
We visited the following attractions, shows and restaurants;
1) "Pooh's Hunny Hunt"
Because we had thought that our daughter loved Pooh, we took her to this attraction first. But she was scared at the last part of ride due to darkness and strong wind.

2) "Mickey's House and Meet Mickey"
Our daughter got excited when she met Mickey. He was very kind to her. I took a good picture and video of meeting Mickey at this place.

3) "Minnie's House"
Our daughter enjoyed this attraction.

4) "It's A Small World"
Our daughter seemed to be interested in boats on the water.

5) "Monsters Inc, Ride and Go Seek"
We got the fast pass to ride this attraction. Our daughter was scared. She may dislike ride type attractions.

6) "The Diamond Horseshoe" (Lunch and Show)
Our daughter was scared a little due to big sound. During the show, she fell asleep.

7) "Jubilation" (Daytime Parade)
Our daughter got excited.

8) "Minnie Oh Minnie" (Show)
Our daughter got excited.

9) "Restaurant Hokusai" (Dinner)

We bought a cellphone toy for our daughter. She likes it very much. I also bought a doll of Minnie for her.

We could not see Electrical Parade, because it rained 1 hour before the parade would start. It stopped raining soon, however the park decided to cancel the parade. We thought that God advised us that a little child should go home to sleep. Our cute baby enjoyed a lot. We guess she was satisfied at full.

Kamakura-Komachi

We had a lunch at Kamakura-Komachi in Center-Kita. This shop has opened recently and it was the first time for us to visit the shop. I like tofu foods very much. We ordered tofu hamburger sets. After a while, three cups of tofu were served to us. I was very impressed that one of them was for our baby.

We ate the tofu, putting special soup or salt on the tofu. The tofu were so delicious. We've never eaten such delicious tofu after we went to Tofuya-Ukai. The tofu can be refilled freely. My wife and I ate 2 cups of tofu. Our cute baby also ate a cup of tofu. She likes tofu foods.

After eating the tofu, our main dishes were served to us.

I ordered a tofu hamburger set with steamed vegetables. This also was so delicious.

I'm very glad that there is a good restaurant like this near my house. In addition to that, this restaurant is kind to little children.

After finishing lunch, Yukio Hatoyama, a head of Democatic Party came to Center-Kita to have a speech.

I don't like Democatic Party and him because they want to give suffage to foreigners resident in Japan. But I saw his speech a little.

Walking a lot

This morning our cute baby walked around in our house with using a Futon-Tataki as a walking stick.
In the afternoon when we went outside, she toddled along. I expect she will walk around with only her feet more tomorrow.

Park Debut

Our cute baby played in the sand box for the first time.

She grabbed a shovel which was placed in the sand box. We were very surprised that our lovely daughter used the shovel very well, although it was the first time for her to have a shovel.

HITOEKIZOKU

According to the news paper, Hitoekizoku (一駅族) is increasing recently. Hitoekizoku means the people who walk one stop during commute.

The other day when I came home, I got off at the next station and I walked to my home. It took about 30 minutes from the next station to my home. This morning I left home 30 minutes earlier than usual. And I walked to the next station.

There are a lots of parks in the Kohoku-Newtown. Those parks are connected to each others by pedestrian roads. Therefore I can go to the next station with watching greens and a pond through parks.

Now I have become a member of Hitoekizoku.

Walked 16 steps

This weekend our cute baby walked 16 steps. Every day is exciting for us.

34th pottery class

The dishes and the cup which I made at the last pottery class has been denied by my wife. My wife has wanted the dished with higher edges. The cup also was bigger for our child's use. Therefore I broke them today.

The clay will be reused by someone after being dried.

I have remade 2 dishes with 15.5 cm width and 5 cm height. The right one is slightly bigger than I expected. The left one is just in size.

Actually I tried to make 3 dishes in 2 hours. The first one was destroyed because the size was too big and the base was too small. The second one is the right one. And the third one is the left one. I think I have made the third one the best among them.

Walked Three Steps

Today our cute baby walked three steps for the first time. In the morning my wife saw it. In the evening, when I came home, our baby walked three steps in front of me again. We were delighted by it. I believe the time when our baby walks around will come soon.

By the way, these days our lovely daughter often does a poo and a pee on the lavatory seat. This morning when our baby woke up, she went to the lavatory with crying. After my wife made our baby sit on the lavatory seat, our baby did a poo. This evening, when our baby cried, I asked to her "Do you want to go to the lavatory ?". Because she nodded her head, I took her to the lavatory. Then she did a pee. We were excited at our daughter's growth.
